This position offers an opportunity to provide meaningful support as a Special Education Teacher for 7th and 8th grade students with diverse needs in a K-12 school setting. Located in Southeastern Minnesota, the role focuses on a caseload of 14 students with varying disabilities, working in resource and self-contained federal settings. The role is contracted for the current school year (CSY). Key responsibilities include: Delivering replacement instruction in reading, writing, and math to students. Implementing individualized educational goals across academic areas and essential life skills such as social and organizational skills. Supporting 10 students classified under federal setting 1, 3 students under setting 2, and 1 student under setting 3. Collaborating with staff to tailor instruction and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs. Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly. Qualifications or desired experience: Minnesota Special Education teaching license is required. Experience working with middle school students, particularly 7th and 8th graders. Ability to manage a mixed setting classroom environment including both federal setting 1 and 2. Strong skills in adapting curriculum for students with varying disabilities. Effective communication and organizational skills. Schedule and location: Position based in Harmony, Minnesota (Southeastern MN). Flexible work hours allow staff to select one of three schedules: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., or 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about fostering growth in students with special needs at the middle school level.
