An opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to support K-12 learners. This contract position is ideal for educators dedicated to providing tailored instruction and fostering the academic and social growth of students with hearing impairments. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments. Utilize specialized instructional strategies and assistive technology to enhance student learning. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed. Advocate for students access to communication and educational resources. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education. Proven experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels. Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and communication modalities. Familiarity with audiological devices and assistive listening technologies. Ability to design adaptive curriculum based on individual student needs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
