Summary

Above Beyond Childcare is looking to fill the position of Lead Teacher! This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual to create a nurturing, positive, and safe classroom for the children in their care. Lead Teachers develop a monthly curriculum and manages the day-to-day activities of the classroom. This position requires an understanding of early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practices, and the need for healthy social-emotional relationships.

Duties

Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Minimum of 9 credits in Early Childhood Education OR have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire. A strong understanding of child development. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
