YOUR HOURS Our Lead Teacher works 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday .
REQUIREMENTS You need to meet at least one of the following for this teaching role: Completion of 18 credits in related coursework, including 3 credits in child/human growth and development, and 1000 hours of experience working with children in an elementary school or a licensed childcare program Completion of 12 credits in related coursework plus 3000 hours of experience working with children in an elementary school or licensed childcare program Non-expired child development associate (CDA) in center-based programs awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition A credential from a MACTE-accredited teacher preparation program 5+ years of experience as a licensed family childcare provider with no imposed enforcement actions Completion of the New Hampshire Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program 1000 hours of supervised childcare experience in a licensed program and completion of a 2-year vocational course in career and technical education with 9 credits in related coursework Documentation that you were qualified for and employed as a lead teacher on or before November 6, 2017 Our ideal Lead Teacher is detail-oriented, team-spirited, and able to create engaging and educational curricula. CPR/First Aid certification would be preferred but not required.
YOUR ROLE As our Lead Teacher, you'll play a key role in shaping a fun, safe, and enriching classroom environment for young children. With your thoughtfully designed lesson plans, you'll guide age-appropriate activities each day that ignite curiosity and nurture each child's development. You'll set a positive example, encouraging children to explore new concepts, try new things, and build confidence in a nurturing space. Working closely with your fellow teaching staff, you'll ensure the classroom runs smoothly and that every day is full of meaningful moments.
