2nd Grade Teaching Positions
Building and grade level specifics will be determined by ultimate number of sections needed in each elementary building
Qualifications and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Must be Highly Qualified K-5 Must possess State of Michigan K-5 certification Must be creative thinker, self-motivated, and energetic. Must be willing to embrace new teaching styles and systems of organization. Must be willing to establish a learning environment with the characteristics of: Nurturing Active and engaging Movement Conversational Language-Rich
Base instructional decisions on the goals and needs of individual learners, as well as the class as a whole. Work collaboratively with colleagues, school staff, and families. Recognition of the diverse needs among students and commitment to differentiation in instructional approach, in order to meet the needs of all students. Demonstration of a strong knowledge of subject area being taught. Checking for and building of higher-level understanding in students. Efficient and effective use of instructional time. Establishment and maintenance of strong, appropriate, relationships with students and families. Maintenance of exceptional classroom management. Planning for and delivery of rigorous content. Utilize technology (as appropriate) to support instruction. Must be willing to apply knowledge and principles of the developmental nature of young children: Cognitive Linguistic Physical Social-Emotional
