Your Role as a 2nd Grade Teacher
You'll be the heart of the classroom, inspiring curiosity and growth every day. Your responsibilities include: Designing and delivering engaging, adaptable lesson plans that meet the needs of every learner. Creating a welcoming, positive classroom culture where students feel safe and excited to learn. Tracking student progress and tailoring instruction using best practices and data-driven insights. Managing behavior with kindness and consistency, fostering respect and collaboration. Partnering with families to celebrate successes and support challenges. Integrating technology and school-approved curricula that honor students' diverse backgrounds. Joining school-wide initiatives and team projects that enrich the whole student experience. What We're Looking For Current, active Ohio teaching license in Elementary Education or related field. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline. Enthusiasm for coaching and professional growth through ongoing feedback and collaboration. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage confidential information. Experience in urban educational environments is a plus. Ability to supervise students safely across various settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria). Passing federal and state background checks.
