We have an exciting new opportunity for a Special Education Teacher in Cook County, IL for the 2025-2026 school year. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. You’ll be part of a focused, student-centered team committed to fostering academic, social, and behavioral growth in an inclusive learning environment. Position Details: Location: In-Person (no hybrid or remote options) Schedule: Full school days - Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm (depending on the classroom) Duration: September 2025 - June 2026 Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35-40 hours per week Grade Level: High School (9th-12th grade) Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs. Implement and monitor progress on IEP goals. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families. Create and maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs. Advocate for the academic, social, and behavioral growth of students.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field. Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois with Special Education Endorsement. Experience working with high school-aged students with special needs in a classroom setting.
