A Special Education Teacher provides individualized instruction and implements IEPs to support high school students with special needs. They collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment promoting academic, social, and behavioral growth. This role requires a professional educator license and experience working with high school-aged students in special education settings.

In this role, you will provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. Position Details: Location: In-Person (no hybrid or remote options) Schedule: Full school days - Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm (depending on the classroom) Duration: September 2025 - June 2026 Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35-40 hours per week Grade Level: High School (9th-12th grade)

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs.

• Implement and monitor progress on IEP goals.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.

• Create and maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

• Use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.

• Advocate for the academic, social, and behavioral growth of students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.

• Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois with Special Education Endorsement.

• Experience working with high school-aged students with special needs in a classroom setting.
