As a lead head start teacher, you will provide a comprehensive Child Development Program for a classroom of 17 children between the ages of 3 to 5. This role also provides you with an opportunity to supervise and mentor other classroom staff on your team. You will also establish "Compassionate Partnerships" with parents of enrolled children through home visits, conferences, on-going contacts and monthly family activities.
This is a fulltime school year position that runs from September through early June. This allows you to have summers off.
Minimum requirement - An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent. Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Successful candidate must possess great interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a commitment to life long learning.
