The Early Head Start Toddler Lead Teacher must demonstrate competency in providing effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, NYS Early Learning Guidelines, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners as appropriate.
The Early Head Start Toddler Lead Teacher sets learning goals and plans learning experiences by integrating knowledge of each child’s temperament, interests, gender, culture, language, learning approaches, understanding, misconceptions, and abilities and by working collaboratively with families and a range of consultants and coaches.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
* Enroll in a program working towards Bachelors Degree
* Infant and Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.
* One year of documented experience working in a program for infants and toddlers.
Desired Qualifications:
* BA Degree Early in Childhood Education with a focus on Infants and Toddlers
* Two years or more documented experience working as a teacher in an early childhood environment with infants and toddlers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
