Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Arizona certification in Special Education Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, particularly those with disabilities Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and the special education process Ability to differentiate instruction and provide targeted support for students with varying abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping all students succeed Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work as part of a collaborative team Preferred Qualifications Experience with assistive technology and specialized instructional tools Familiarity with current special education laws and regulations Experience in developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) Knowledge of trauma-informed teaching practices Working Conditions Work primarily occurs in a classroom setting Considerable repetitive computer functions Constant interruptions in a high-volume work environment Work is performed with time pressures and requires handling multiple tasks, frequently changing tasks, and interruptions Extensive public contact via telephone, email, and in person Requires the ability to remain in a sitting position for 50% of the time, 25% walking, and 25% standing This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment Behaviors (Preferred) Enthusiastic : Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest Innovative : Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking Team Player : Works well as a member of a group Dedicated : Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Motivations (Preferred) Self-Starter : Inspired to perform without outside help Ability to Make an Impact : Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization Education Bachelor's degree or higher (Required) Licenses & Certifications IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
