Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field

• Valid Arizona certification in Special Education

• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, particularly those with disabilities

• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and the special education process

• Ability to differentiate instruction and provide targeted support for students with varying abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping all students succeed

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with assistive technology and specialized instructional tools

• Familiarity with current special education laws and regulations

• Experience in developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs)

• Knowledge of trauma-informed teaching practices

• Work primarily occurs in a classroom setting

• Considerable repetitive computer functions

• Constant interruptions in a high-volume work environment

• Work is performed with time pressures and requires handling multiple tasks, frequently changing tasks, and interruptions

• Extensive public contact via telephone, email, and in person

• Requires the ability to remain in a sitting position for 50% of the time, 25% walking, and 25% standing

• This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment
