ESL TEACHER

Summary:
Seeking a dedicated ESL teacher to support English Language Learners in Grade 7 and 8. The role involves facilitating language development, guiding students' academic progress, and collaborating with school staff to ensure effective integration and support for ESL students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between ESL students, staff, and families
- Recommend ESL program entry/exit based on established criteria
- Administer mandated language proficiency assessments
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Plan and deliver ESL lessons based on research-based best practices
- Modify and provide learning materials suited for English learners
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support classroom integration
- Maintain communication with families regarding student progress
- Participate in ongoing curriculum review and professional development
- Support school-wide initiatives and perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Valid ESL Program Specialist Certificate (PK-12)
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania regulations related to ESL/ELL education
- Clearances: Criminal Record, Child Abuse, FBI Background
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in ESL/ELL education and instructional strategies
- Familiarity with RTII, PBIS, and InTASC standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and use technology to enhance learning
