This is a 10 month teaching position with flexibility to have summertime off with an expected start date of August 11.. The work shift is 8a -4p, Monday to Friday with a starting annual salary of $34,700 depending on experience. This is an onsite role at our center location: 1264 S Rio Grande Ave, Orlando FL 32805

The dedicated Elementary Teacher for our mixed-age 1st–2nd and 3rd–4th grade classrooms brings energy, creativity, and heart to the learning experience. This teacher plans and delivers engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum, while serving as a positive role model and mentor. You'll build a warm, dynamic classroom environment where students across grade levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired. From designing hands-on projects to fostering meaningful connections, you’ll help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while having a lot of fun along the way. What You’ll Do:

•    Responsible for teaching groups of students with mild or moderate disabilities
•    Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
•    Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
•    Modify existing curriculum on basic subjects to meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs.
•    Monitor behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
•    Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict
•    Collaborate with the support staff to create intervention plans
•    Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems


What We Need from You:

  • Bachelors degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education and/or FL Teaching Certification
  • 1 -2 years teaching experience (preferred)
  • Must clear a full Level 2 DCF background check.
  • First-Aid / CPR Certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed.
  • Effectively communicate with both students and parents.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
