What You’ll Do
Provide targeted, specialized academic instruction to students with learning differences and special needs in elementary or middle school settings
Manage an assigned caseload, ensuring services align with each student’s IEP goals and timelines
Lead IEP meetings, write compliant IEPs, and collaborate with service providers, parents, and district teams
Administer and interpret standardized assessments to track progress and drive instructional planning
Adapt and modify curriculum to support student learning and inclusion across co-teaching, push-in, pull-out, and one-to-one models
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, evaluations, and service logs
Partner with general education teachers to create differentiated instruction and promote meaningful inclusion
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Active California Education Specialist and/or Special Education Teaching Credential (CTC)
Availability for in-person services in Richmond, CA
Strong knowledge of Special Education law, policy, and instructional best practices
Preferred:
1+ years of Special Education teaching experience
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills and a positive, student-centered approach
Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills
