A competent CTE Computer Science Teacher understands the knowledge and skills needed to prepare students for further education and careers in current or emerging professions, include competency-based, work-based, or other applied learning that supports the development of academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, as well as knowledge of all aspects of an industry, including entrepreneurship. The CTE Computer Science Teacher works to provide every learner a relevant and rigorous education, foster a culture that encourages risk-taking, problem-solving and embracing change, and works to engage our families to maximize opportunities.

Note: Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
