Job Title: Traveling Strings and General Music Teacher (Grades 4–5)

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Strings Teacher to provide instruction to 4th and 5th grade students across eight elementary schools on a rotating weekly schedule. The ideal candidate will foster a love for music while developing students' technical and performance skills on string instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach beginning and intermediate string classes to 4th and 5th graders at eight school sites each week.

Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with district and state music standards.

Organize and prepare students for school performances and district-wide concerts.

Collaborate with school staff and music colleagues to support student learning and program alignment.

Maintain instruments, classroom materials, and accurate records of student progress.

Travel daily between school sites as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching credential with a music authorization (or equivalent).

Experience teaching elementary string instruments preferred.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to manage a dynamic schedule and multiple teaching environments.

Note: This is an itinerant position that requires daily travel between sites; mileage reimbursement is provided.
