ids in Motion Academy is seeking a dependable and nurturing 2-Year-Old Closing Teacher to support our energetic and curious toddlers during their afternoon transitions and closing routine. This position is perfect for an early childhood professional with a CDA or higher , who enjoys guiding two-year-olds through structured play, potty training, and group social development. Candidates should be available for midday-to-close , and passionate about helping toddlers feel safe, supported, and successful at the end of their day.
Duties
Welcome children warmly and ease transition from mid-day to end-of-day routines
Support age-appropriate activities that develop social, physical, and language skills
Guide and assist with toilet training and hygiene routines in accordance with licensing policies
Prepare and serve snacks and help with cleanup
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom before close
Document meals, toileting, and activities in Brightwheel
Communicate daily highlights and any concerns with parents at pick-up
Follow the classroom behavior plan using redirection and positive reinforcement
Ensure all items are packed and children are dismissed safely
Follow all closing procedures, including classroom sanitizing and securing the building
Requirements
CDA in Infant/Toddler Care or Preschool (TCC, Associate’s or higher preferred)
Minimum 1 year of classroom experience with toddlers or twos
Must be 18 years or older
Able to work Monday–Friday
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Must pass DECAL fingerprint background check and required health screening
Strong understanding of toilet training techniques and toddler behavior support
Comfortable with lifting, sitting on the floor, and engaging in active toddler play
Dependable and consistent with schedule and follow-through
Positive attitude and team player mindset
Nice To Haves
Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education
Experience with toilet training programs or sensory integration activities
Familiarity with Brightwheel or similar platforms
Experience working with diverse learners or inclusive classrooms
Knowledge of Quality Rated or Georgia Early Learning Standards (GELDS)
Bilingual in Spanish, French, or ASL
Interest in music, movement, or dramatic play
Calm demeanor and creative approaches to behavior support
