As a Toddler Teacher (2 -3 years old), you play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children aged one to three years old. Your primary responsibility is to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of toddlers. You will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, foster positive relationships with parents, and ensure the overall well-being of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development:
    • Develop and implement a developmentally-appropriate curriculum that supports the individual needs of toddlers.
    • Plan daily activities that promote language development, motor skills, socialization, and cognitive growth.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
  • Individualized Learning:
    • Recognize and respond to the unique needs and abilities of each toddler.
    • Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and developmental stages.
  • Parent Communication:
    • Establish and maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones and address individual needs.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
    • Administer basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents about any health-related concerns.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
    • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
  • Documentation and Assessment:
    • Keep accurate records of each child's development and progress.
    • Conduct assessments to track developmental milestones and share findings with parents.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
    • Pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with toddlers in an educational setting.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • CPR and first aid certification (in-person).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children.

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
