Job Description:
As a Toddler Teacher (2 -3 years old), you play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children aged one to three years old. Your primary responsibility is to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of toddlers. You will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, foster positive relationships with parents, and ensure the overall well-being of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement a developmentally-appropriate curriculum that supports the individual needs of toddlers.
- Plan daily activities that promote language development, motor skills, socialization, and cognitive growth.
2. Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
3. Individualized Learning:
- Recognize and respond to the unique needs and abilities of each toddler.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and developmental stages.
4. Parent Communication:
- Establish and maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones and address individual needs.
5. Health and Safety:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents about any health-related concerns.
6. Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
7. Documentation and Assessment:
- Keep accurate records of each child's development and progress.
- Conduct assessments to track developmental milestones and share findings with parents.
8. Professional Development:
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
- Pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with toddlers in an educational setting.
-High School Diploma/ GED or higher
- CPR and first aid certification ( in-person)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children. Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
