DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan. Carries out such additional duties as required or as conditions necessitate. Provide primary support for device and software technical needs for staff and students, involving and/or referring to district technical support when necessary; Track and follow up on technical requests referred for technical support, providing assistance as necessary; Set up and maintain computers, mobile devices, laptops, printers, and other peripherals to ensure connectivity; Provide installation and support for educational and administrative software applications; Provide regular orientation and training to building staff in the use of technology; Perform user, computer, and printer administration using directory services; Provide input into the development and revision of district technology policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to; and Coordinate and communicate tasks and activities with district technical support. Receive regular training and orientation from the district technology department. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of district applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google Apps for Education, Sungard, district printer and software installation portals, and SMART Notebook. Basic knowledge of hardware management, including but not limited to digital file management, wireless connectivity, and projector management.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
