The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a special education teaching position that is available at Christiansburg High School.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a current Virginia Teacher's License with appropriate endorsement in the area to which assigned Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans Have experience and expertise in using technology in education Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and families Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual

Salary: $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience and prorated to start date FLSA: Exempt
