Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to support students learning and social-emotional growth.
Assess students needs and adapt instructional materials and environments accordingly.
Monitor and document progress toward educational goals, modifying strategies as necessary.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Certification or licensure in teaching visually impaired students.
Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools for visually impaired learners.
