Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create a comprehensive support system.
Provide direct instruction and interventions in accordance with IEP goals.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development.
Maintain accurate records of student assessments and progress.
Qualifications:
Active Visually Impaired Teacher Certification, valid in South Carolina or another state.
Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in an itinerant capacity.
Strong understanding of educational strategies for students with visual impairments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to various classroom environments.
