A part-time position is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction for an elementary student. This role focuses on delivering direct Braille instruction and facilitating access to academic content through tailored accommodations and strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized Braille literacy and tactile learning instruction. Assist the student in utilizing assistive technology and accessible learning materials. Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and family members to effectively implement the students Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching license as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required. Experience working with elementary-aged students in vision support roles is preferred.
Location: Peachtree City, GA
Position Type: Part-time, contract for the current school year
Schedule: Hours to be arranged within the school day (7:30 AM 3:30 PM)
