For more than 50 years, CORA has served children and families experiencing emotional, academic and social challenges that impact their development and productivity. Our School Services Division provides a range of school support services to students in more than 100 non-public and charter schools throughout the Delaware Valley. We are currently recruiting Teachers of the Visually Impaired for the 2025-2026 school year. Part-time, 10-month position All CORA team members are expected to uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual’s potential for growth In addition, as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired your duties will include: Collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide instructional strategies to assist students who are visually impaired Planning lessons and activities based on skill levels of students in caseload, using techniques and materials to enhance the student’s academic abilities Conducting orientation and mobility evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs including the amount and frequency of services needed; providing instruction on orientation and mobility techniques and in the use of orientation and mobility materials and devices Providing support and consultation to parents, teachers and other school staff to assist with integrating orientation and mobility goals into classroom and home activities Collecting and maintaining data to document and evaluate students’ progress on an ongoing basis Adhering to agency guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management, record- keeping, and accountability Other relevant duties as assigned or required QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Pennsylvania certification to Teach the Visually Impaired Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with students and productive working relationships with parents, teachers and other staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills CORA Services Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
