A contract position is available for a specialized educator to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a K-12 school setting in Annapolis, MD. This full contract role spans the current school year. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and support services for students with hearing impairments. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Utilize assistive technology and communication strategies to enhance student learning and engagement. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Provide consultation to parents and school personnel regarding Deaf and Hard of Hearing student needs. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory standards. Desired Qualifications: Certification and experience as a Teacher for Deaf / Hard of Hearing students. Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with experience in educational settings. Knowledge of deaf education methodologies and assistive communication technology. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with K-12 students and multidisciplinary teams.
