Green Tree Preparatory Academy is actively recruiting licensed and experienced candidates for a Music teaching position. A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking highly motivated and creative individuals to build and implement high quality music education programming. Music educators are part of the vibrant arts community in Milwaukee and have countless opportunities to partner with Milwaukee's professional arts organizations. Educators are supported by the Music Curriculum Specialist and music support teachers in the office of Fine Arts, as well as the Milwaukee Music Educators Association, a growing community of music educators across the district who seek to share best practices and develop a strong and culturally responsive music curriculum. MPS music educators provide a music curriculum aligned to the Wisconsin Music Standards. In MPS, the teachers and leaders are committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools. Applicants must be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach the respective specific grade level and/or content area. Eligible applicants must apply during the application window and include: EXTERNAL CANDIDATES EXTERNAL fully licensed teachers Student or permit teachers, practicum students, and interns who will be fully licensed by August, 2025 Permit or intern teachers in need of another 1-year license with stipulations for 2025-26 Bachelor degreed individuals pursuing a teaching/counseling/librarian position and licensure
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The salary range starts at $54,386.11 and increases according to the set salary schedule based on education beyond the required bachelor's degree and previous years of fully-licensed K-12 teaching experience. Equal Employment Opportunity
