The Role
Ocean Reef PS is seeking passionate and committed educators from Kindergarten to Year 6 who are dedicated to maintaining high expectations for every student in every classroom. We believe that strong moral values, genuine care, and mutual respect are essential to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.
We are looking for good people first—educators who value relationships and are capable of building meaningful connections with students, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
Ideal applicants will possess strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs, demonstrate a collaborative, whole-school approach to teaching and learning, be familiar with or open to using evidence-based, explicit, and assessment-informed practices, have knowledge of programs such as Talk for Writing, Sounds-Write, PRIME Mathematics, and Spelling Mastery (highly desirable but not essential). Applicants should be open to a teaching and learning feedback cycle where class observations become a catalyst to improve teaching and learning across the school.
Educators with a specialist teaching background are strongly encouraged to apply. While current openings may be classroom-based, suitable applicants may be considered for future specialist roles should they arise. Areas may include, Physical Education, The Arts (Drama, Music, Visual Art), Science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We are always looking to grow our team with high-quality educators who bring unique expertise and a passion for their specialty.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) We are actively seeking Early Childhood Education specialists with a balanced approach to curriculum delivery. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, the National Quality Standards (NQS), and the role of purposeful play in early learning. Strong interpersonal skills are highly desriable, along with the ability to build authentic partnerships with parents and carers. Relationships are at the core of our ECE philosophy, and effective family engagement is a key component of the role.
We champion innovation and leadership, encouraging educators to pursue growth opportunities within our dynamic and supportive team. We place whole-child development at the centre of our mission and expect all staff to actively contribute to a strong, reflective, and forward-thinking school culture.
Our educators would ideally embrace a culture of accountability and professionalism, evidence-based decision-making and differentiated instruction, transparent classroom management, aligned with our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework, a commitment to restorative practices, which are integral to sustaining strong relationships with students. If you're a motivated, compassionate, and reflective educator ready to make a meaningful impact and grow within a collaborative, caring environment, we encourage you to apply and become a valued part of the Ocean Reef Primary School community.
