The Role
We are seeking dedicated teachers who show initiative and are committed to providing high quality teaching and engaging learning programs in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Suitable applicants will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong, positive relationships with students, parents and staff. They will ideally be collaborative in striving to achieve our vision ‘Belong Believe Become – Success for all students’, working in learning phase teams and as a collective whole school team, ensuring students are at the forefront of everything we do.
Suitable applicants will successfully implement the Western Australian Curriculum, and where applicable, the Early Years Learning Framework and Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, providing meaningful learning opportunities with a strong focus on developing Literacy and Numeracy across all developmental phases of learning. They will ideally be able to effectively use and implement the InitiaLit Literacy program which is embedded in K-2, and the iSTAR explicit teaching instructional model (K-6) to advance student outcomes. A balanced approach of explicit teaching and intentional play-based learning is consistently used in the early years. Suitable applicants will effectively differentiate the curriculum according to the needs of students and implement effective strategies to support student learning and social, emotional development.
Suitable applicants ideally require effective behaviour management skills to maintain an engaging, orderly and caring learning environment, and be proactive in using Restorative Practices and the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategy which are embedded across the whole school..
