This full-time itinerant role focuses on providing specialized instruction for students who are visually impaired, serving K-12 learners near Norfolk/Chesapeake, VA. The position runs from August 18, 2025, through May 30, 2026, with work hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Collaborating closely with Orientation & Mobility specialists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to develop comprehensive student support plans. Providing Braille instruction, particularly to students who are legally blind. Adapting instructional strategies to meet individual student needs and promote independence. Participating in team meetings and contributing to progress monitoring and reporting. Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). Experience working with visually impaired students in a K-12 setting. Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites.
