Job Responsibilities

  • Assist teacher in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum
  • Provide assistance as directed by the lead teacher
  • Instruct classroom in accordance with lesson plans
  • Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher
  • Assist students during lunchtime
  • Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout
  • Maintain student records and perform other clerical duties as directed
  • Help maintain a clean and organized classroom
  • Assist students in social skills development
  • Assist in putting up bulletin boards
  • Assist in student bathroom breaks
  • Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher
  • Operate equipment such as projectors, iPad, and computers
  • Assist in maintaining classroom management plan
  • Prepare and distribute work as directed by the lead teacher
  • Provide guidance and redirection as needed
