We are currently seeking Teacher Assistants for full-time positions working with students in the Landenberg, PA area. The TA will assist the classroom teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students, preparing instructional materials, and implementing lesson plans. Eligible candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Education and previous experience working in a special education or behavioral health-care setting. All candidates must have updated PA clearances. Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Education

Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral health-care setting preferred

Must have up-to-date PA Clearances FBI Fingerprints PA Criminal Background PA Child Abuse Responsibilities

Assist the teacher(s) in preparing materials, teaching aids, and equipment for direct instructional activities

Schedule space for specialized instructional programs and coordinate the arrangement of equipment, desks, tables, chairs and activity area

Examine unit plans prepared by the teacher and anticipate the need for specific supplies and material

Provide student supervision

Assist in maintaining the security of records, materials, and equipment

Assist the teacher in the enforcement of classroom rules and the maintenance of appropriate records

Follow attendance, punctuality and other qualities of an appropriate work ethic

Ensure adherence to good safety standards
