Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and eager Substitute Early Childhood Aid to join our team for 2-3 days a week from 6:30 am to 5 pm, days/hours could vary depending on center needs during the School Year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups, ranging from infancy to preschool, and school aged. As a Substitute Teacher, you will implement lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care. As a daily Aid you will cover in each classroom providing breaks for the full time staff and will have the potential to cover shifts in the event of a call out of scheduled vacation. During the School Year, you will be responsible for overseeing the Before Care School Age program, running breaks, and then responsible for the After Care School Age Program that runs from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Duties
Provide Care for School Age Children in our Before Care Program from 6:30 am to 8:40 am and then After Care from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Run Breaks for staff Up-to-Date Department of Children and Families (DCF) clearance. Clean criminal background check. Current CT OEC required Adult Medical Statement signed by a healthcare provider.. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly across different age groups and settings. Care 4 Kids Federal Health and Safety Orientation
Requirements
Previous experience in early childhood education preferred. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
