The City of Hallandale Beach is offering a part-time position with a salary of $19.21 hourly. This role is located in Hallandale Beach, FL, under the Human Services Department.

The work objective is to provide tutorial and general program assistance in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs, including enrichment and character building initiatives, various prevention projects and initiatives, and special events. This role receives supervision and guidance from certified teachers and teacher assistants in the delivery of effective instruction. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; supplemented by one year or more years' experience and/or training working with school age children; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. The candidate must have or be able to obtain National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification, CPR and basic first aid training, and Florida Department of Children and Families required early childhood education, teacher assistant, and/or childhood development associate certifications within one year of start date.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
