Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Music Teacher to inspire young children through the joy of music, rhythm, and creative movement. The ideal candidate is someone who believes in play-based learning and can bring music alive in the early childhood classroom. Working Hours : 8.30am to 5.30pm Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging music and movement lessons for children aged PG to K2 At least be competent in 5 music instruments (hand bells, drums, keyboard and violin) Incorporate singing, rhythm instruments, percussion, body movement, and dramatic musical play. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into thematic learning experiences. Support the Starlight Theatre enrichment programme through creative storytelling and performance-based activities. Observe and document children’s learning and progress in music development. Participate in school events, performances, and parent engagement activities Requirements Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T or equivalent), OR Music Degree/Diploma with relevant early childhood music teaching experience. Certification in early childhood music education methodologies (e.g., Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze) is an advantage. Experience & Skills: Minimum 1 year of teaching experience with young children in music or performing arts. Proficient in playing at least one musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, ukulele, percussion). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Enthusiastic, playful, and reflective in practice.
