For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. We are located next to GW Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. Currently, we have around 20 full-time and four part-time staff members, most of whom have been with ABC for at least five years or more. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment for our school-agers this summer. This full-time position would be Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break Responsibilities include Implementing our Summer Camp curriculum (fun themes each week!) Creating fun activities based on the weekly theme for the students to participate in Communicating daily with parents Maintaining a neat, organized classroom Providing a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your care Ability to work independently and within our team Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (Degree preferred) At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred) Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, orally and in writing Have, or willing to get, required clearances (Within the last five years) Have, or willing to get, a physical with TB test (Within the last year) Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid holidays, after 90 days Paid vacation time, after 1 year Disability insurance Tuition assistance for higher education Weekends and evenings off ABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
