Substitute Teachers

Teach reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, music, physical education and health education to students, consistent with District goals and objectives.

Provide planned learning experiences to motivate students and best utilize the available time for instruction.

Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individual and group instruction designed to meet the needs of each student.

Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Establish a positive teacher-student rapport by maintaining a responsive environment for learning; assist students in the development of a positive self-image.

Supervise students in out-of-classroom activiites during the assigned workday.

Perform basic attendance duties and record keeping services.

Perform other duties as assigned.
