Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Substitute Teacher / Tutor to join our educational team. This individual will support classroom learning by stepping in for absent teachers and providing one-on-one or small group tutoring to help students succeed academically and behaviorally. Key Responsibilities Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and instructional materials. Provide targeted tutoring based on individual student academic needs. Maintain consistent classroom management aligned with the Mooseheart Model of Care. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with educational staff and adhere to lesson plans and directions. Ensure student confidentiality and professional conduct at all times. Participate in ongoing professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred. Must meet State of Illinois teaching certification/licensure requirements (if applicable). Minimum age of 21. Strong communication, instructional, and behavior management skills. Experience working with youth and in behavior management is preferred. Ability to pass a DCFS background check and fingerprint clearance.
