Location: Family Service Center Overview of Responsibilities : Substitute in a classroom with children ages 3 and under Treat all children and adults with dignity and respect. Assure the safety and well-being of all children Promote feelings of trust and security in infants and toddlers by being warm, supportive, comforting, and by establishing strong and caring relationships with them. Follow the program to meet the needs of individual children with concerns for their interests, special needs, talents and individual style and pace of learning. Assure that each infant and toddler is warmly greeted upon arrival Talk, sing and read to children frequently during the day. Respond quickly in a soothing and tender manner to cries or calls of distress. Respond consistently to needs for food and comfort. Implement individualized feeding plans; respect individual preferences and eating styles; sit with children and share family-style meal; model manners and good nutrition. Tend to each child's personal hygiene needs and remain attentive to them during routines such as diaper changing, cleaning, feeding and changing soiled or wet clothes. Organize each day's activities to provide children with a variety of experiences and opportunities.
