Part-Time Study Hall & Saxon Math Teacher
American Heritage School – American Fork, Utah

Position Available: 2025–26 School Year (Starting August 2025)

American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a part-time Study Hall & Saxon Math Teacher for the 2025–26 school year. This position involves supervising and supporting students in a structured study hall environment as well as teaching Saxon Math to assigned grade levels. The role offers the opportunity to foster good study habits, encourage academic excellence, and help students develop confidence in mathematics.

Working under the direction of school administration, the Study Hall & Saxon Math Teacher will provide a calm and orderly environment for independent study, monitor student progress, and deliver engaging, clear, and structured math instruction consistent with the Saxon Math curriculum and the mission of American Heritage School.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during assigned study hall periods to maintain a quiet, productive environment.

  • Provide assistance to students with organization, time management, and homework completion.

  • Teach Saxon Math lessons, conduct practice sessions, and guide students through problem-solving strategies.

  • Monitor and assess student progress in math, offering feedback and support as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding expectations and progress.

  • Uphold school policies and ensure a respectful and safe learning atmosphere.

  • Support the mission and values of American Heritage School.

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring math, preferably with the Saxon Math curriculum.

  • Strong math skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly to students of varying ability levels.

  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Positive and respectful communication with students and colleagues.

  • Commitment to working in a faith-based educational environment in alignment with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Compensation:
Part-time hourly position. Competitive wage based on experience.
