We are currently seeking a dynamic and committed Part-Time Specials Teachers to teach Physical Education or Music or Art, or Technology. Position Summary: The Specials Teacher will work with K–8 students to deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction in a(n) Physical Education or Music or Art, or Technology class. This individual will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning while upholding the mission and values of MHTCA. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction Maintain accurate and timely student records, including grades and attendance Provide timely responses to school communications, including emails Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills that promote a positive and structured learning environment Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and parents Organize and participate in school-wide events as requested by the principal Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support the overall success of students Uphold school policies, procedures, and Catholic values Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Michigan Teacher Certification (or currently enrolled in a certification program or on a pathway to certification) Prior teaching experience in a K–8 setting preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Passion for education and a commitment to student success Ability to integrate Catholic values into instruction and interactions Schedule & Compensation: This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on the school's specials rotation. Compensation is based on the Shared Time Teacher Salary Schedule.
