Currently, we are seeking a Licensed Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher who will work on the Education Team. This person supervises and directs a team of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to plan, create, and implement a successful educational program for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide direct instruction aligned with student needs and IEP goals. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on data and student progress. Collaborate with school districts, families, and service providers. Assist with onboarding, initial assessments, and individualized student programming. Participate in team meetings, training, and planning efforts across the department. Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding progress and programming. Support students' transition to adult services, where applicable. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred. Valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist License. At least 3 years of experience working with K-12 students and/or individuals with I/DD (preferred). Experience writing IEPs and using progress monitoring tools. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. Must pass background check and drug screening. Must maintain required DODD and safety certifications, including First Aid/CPR.
