Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Part or Full-Time Special Education Teacher who will serve as a case manager for identified students in the Johnstown and Ebensburg areas.

What are the duties and responsibilities? Assist other professional staff in diagnosis of learning disorders, development of planned remediation and evaluation of student progress Teach personal development skills such as goal setting, independence and self-advocacy Administer specialized testing as necessary Follow-up with concerns from teachers, parents and/or administrative staff Prepare student reports and activities as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations Teach socially acceptable behavior, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement What are the required qualifications? An active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education, candidates with Special Education K-12 is preferred. Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. Capacity for sitting as this happens throughout the eight-hour day.
