Job Quick Facts: • Ref#:BD-434-10 • Profession: Special Education Teacher • Location: Spartanburg School District Two, Chesnee, South Carolina • Facility Type: School • Job Type: Contract • Shift Schedule: As Per School Calendar • Start Date: TBD • Duration: 1 year • Rate: $48/hr Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree • Experience in a Special Education classroom setting • Valid South Carolina License • Minimum 1 year experience Responsibilities: • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) • Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress • Update IEPs to reflect students’ progress and goals • Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans • Collect and analyze student data in order to make effective decisions to maximize achievement • Discuss students’ progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators • Communicate students’ progress with students and families • Other duties as assigned
