We are looking for a skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year. We need Eight (8) Special Education Teachers for our schools:

Open Positions:

1. K–5 Intellectual Disabilities: Moderate/Severe (Self-Contained MSD)

2. 3–5 Teacher of the Deaf (TOD Program)

3. 3–5 Intellectual Disabilities (Self-Contained MSD)

4. 6–8 Intellectual Disabilities: Moderate/Severe (Self-Contained MSD)

5. K–5 Emotional Disabilities (Self-Contained, Specialty Program)

6. K–5 Intellectual Disabilities: Mild (Self-Contained MLD)

Hourly Rate Range: $41.00-$50.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students with disabilities.
• Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) and IDEA regulations.
• Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
• South Carolina Educator Certificate in Special Education (issued by the South Carolina Department of Education – SCDE).
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
