Special Education Teacher

Job Description
We are looking for a talented Special Education Teacher for the school year.
- August 28, 2025 - June 17, 2026
- Daily start and end time: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Caseload: Small pilot program - Less than 12 students (grades 6-12)
Hourly Rate Range: $46.00-$55.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students with disabilities.
- Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
- Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and IDEA regulations.
- Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
- Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement (issued by the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction – OSPI).
- Experience with IEP development and implementation.
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
