Position Overview: Schoolhouse Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive K12 team in Lakeville, MN for the upcoming 20252026 school year. In this full-time, school-based role, you will provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, helping each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Youll work collaboratively with general education staff, specialists, and families to create inclusive environments where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs Deliver direct instruction in both individual and group settings Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Communicate regularly with families about student progress and IEP updates Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation per school and district policies Ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws and guidelines Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred) Valid Minnesota teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (or ability to obtain) Experience working with students with disabilities (K12) preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and differentiated instructional strategies Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Passionate about equity, inclusion, and student success Compensation & Benefits: Hourly Pay: $42 $52/hour, based on experience Professional Development: Access to ongoing training, workshops, and conferences Benefits Package: Health insurance, supply stipend, and professional development stipend Supportive Environment: Collaborative team, mentorship opportunities, and dedicated support from Schoolhouse Staffing
