MSAD 75 is seeking a Flex Classroom Special Education Teacher at Williams-Cone School to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders. Job Summary: The Flex Classroom Special Education Teacher provides individualized, skill-based instruction and behavior support to students with disabilities who benefit from a structured, responsive environment. This teacher supports inclusion and emotional regulation, and promotes progress toward IEP goals. The role includes collaborating with general education staff, guiding paraprofessionals, and maintaining compliance with IDEA, Maine Chapter 101, and district policies. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload and maintain IEPs in compliance with DOE regulations. Provide direct instruction aligned to IEP goals across academic and behavioral domains. Support emotional regulation using positive behavior supports and restorative strategies. Set clear, respectful limits and maintain a predictable classroom environment. Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusive practices. Model, coach, and supervise paraprofessionals to ensure consistent support. Communicate regularly with families and school teams. Use assessment data to monitor progress and guide instruction. Adapt supports based on real-time student needs and context. Qualifications: State of Maine Department of Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities (282) certification. Experience supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs. Ability to collaborate across roles, manage documentation, and guide support staff. Master's degree in Special Education; training in restorative practices, Zones of Regulation, or Collaborative Problem Solving preferred. How to apply for CHRC/Certification
