Job description: Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to support student success. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Illinois state regulations. Design and implement effective behavior intervention strategies. Provide academic interventions tailored to student needs. Conduct and participate in Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). Apply strong curricular knowledge to support both behavioral and academic programming. Supervise and guide paraprofessionals in implementing accommodations and modifications. Actively engage in the problem-solving team process to support student learning and behavior. Collect and analyze progress monitoring data to drive instructional decisions. Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving abilities, and flexibility in adapting to student needs. Maintain CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification and apply crisis intervention strategies as needed. Assume any other duties as may from time to time be delegated by immediate Supervisor. Make adjustments in the scope of responsibilities in the best interest of the school district. Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement.
